Before Christmas break, our CSA bag contained everything we needed to make an amazing stir fry dish!! It was healthy, light, and DELICIOUS! Garcia's Garden provided everything in the bag.

Garden Grown Stir Fry

Ingredients

1 pound Napa cabbage

½ pound roots

1 bunch garlic shoots

Microgreens

Cooking oil (coconut, peanut, bacon grease, etc.)

Soy Sauce (or stock, hoisin, splash rice vinegar, ginger, etc.)

Add meat if desired . . . we added chicken breasts

Rice or Asian noodles

Instructions

Rinse all produce. Prepare rice or noodles before cooing the vegetables. Cut vegetables into uniform bite-size pieces. Cook meat in 12-inch skillet or over medium heat, and remove from pan.

For the vegetables, heat pan to medium high and add 1 Tablespoon oil. When the oil is hot, add garlic and stir for 15 seconds. Add chopped roots and stir for about 3 minutes. For a little browning, let them sit for a minute before stirring. Add more oil if needed. Add leafy vegetables and cook about 3 more minutes. Add cooked meat, microgreens, and sauce to tasted into the pan and stir. Serve over rice or noodles.

Kick it up a notch: Add one or two hot peppers such as Thai or cayenne when adding garlic to spice things up.
